Avail DA Explorer

Data Availability explorer for the Avail network
web3blockchainexplorer

Description

A block explorer focused on Data Availability (DA) within the Avail modular blockchain network. Visualises blob submissions, validation proofs, and network health in real time.

What it is. A web explorer built around the part of the Avail network that most explorers treat as an afterthought: data availability. Where a conventional block explorer answers “what transactions happened,” this one answers “what data was committed, was it verified, and is the network healthy” — the questions that actually matter when you’re running a rollup on top of the DA layer.

The design problem. DA data is abstract. Blobs, KZG commitments, and sampling proofs don’t have the familiar shape of wallets and token transfers, so a conventional explorer layout leaves users staring at hex strings. The explorer gives each concept a visual form: blob submissions rendered as discrete, inspectable units; proofs shown as verified states rather than raw payloads; network health summarised before the detail begins.

Who it’s for. Rollup operators confirming their data landed and was finalised, infrastructure engineers debugging a submission, and technical evaluators assessing the network’s throughput and reliability. It’s a tool you check a dozen times a day, so it’s built to be scanned in seconds, not studied.

How it’s built. A lightweight front-end streaming from the Avail network’s public APIs, designed to stay fast under real-time data. Key states — blob accepted, proof valid, epoch finalised — are surfaced at a glance, with full raw detail available one level down for anyone who needs it.

A concrete use case. An operator’s monitoring alerts on a delayed blob. They open the explorer, see the submission’s status, its proof state, and the network conditions around that slot, and know within seconds whether the problem is theirs or the network’s — without querying a node by hand.
